Meeting with Rene and York about their visit to Japan
I got home late again last night, so this is today's blog update.
Yesterday morning, we had a site meeting for the O residence, and because it was a plan of a type that we had never done before,
Of course, the electrical arrangements were great, but the construction of the building itself was also very interesting and fun.
It was a spatial experience.
In the afternoon, we proposed the plan for the I residence. There were some small modifications, but we were very impressed with the design.
Thank you for coming and it was a great success.
And finally, we aim to be the first in Japan to obtain the Swiss Minergie P Eco certification.
It had been a while since the last meeting for the I Residence, but I had Rene from Switzerland.
I met Mr. York. I met the two of them in Switzerland last November.
It's been a while since we said goodbye.
Rene is the president of a company that has developed a completely new method of woodworking called the SBC method.
York is a graduate of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, known as the MIT of Europe.
Teacher (2m tall!)
In addition, Mr. G, who is studying abroad at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology from the University of Tokyo,
was also an important part of the project and participated.
Basically, most of the conversations are in English, but recently I've been exposed to English
I felt that my English skills had deteriorated due to the lack of opportunities.
Even if I can hear perfectly, I can only hear about 80% of what is being said.
It's not that I can't hear, but rather that I don't understand the meaning of what I hear.
I think that's more accurate.
In Japanese, I can speak out what I think and
It would have been a deep and enjoyable conversation... It's such a shame and frustrating story.
Mr. G is just 27 years old, but he is already well versed in language and culture.
He is a very reliable young man who also gives lectures.
"Does a person like that even exist?" He is a rare talent.
Refreshing.
When I asked him about the secret to this in the car on the way home, it turned out it was his mother.
"Both of my parents were not very educated, only high school graduates. However,
I think I was raised well," he said.
I don't worship Tokyo University, but my two older brothers also went there.
Both of them are active in different fields. This year, this was featured on TV.
He has published a book and is currently giving lectures around the world.
Not just an elite, but someone who has the ability to think, act, and have interpersonal skills.
She's very reliable... I was very interested in how she was brought up like that.
Naturally, I ordered the book on Amazon this morning. I'm looking forward to reading it.
Last night, I went to his wife's parents' house nearby because Mr. I had a child.
I accompanied her and gave birth to her baby. It was three years ago, but the baby has grown to this size.
I had completely forgotten how small it was. My 3-year-old child still acts like a baby.
I thought so, but of course, it's completely different.
It's been a while since I felt so embarrassed.
After that, I took him out to dinner and we ate a lot of really delicious fish.
I just got back from my trip. Yesterday and today, my wife and children went to her friend's house in Kanazawa.
I'm traveling, so I'm living a very unusual single life.
Time seems to pass by in the blink of an eye.
