● "High-Insulation Renovation" - A home that weaves together memories and embodies performance -
This two-story wooden house, with a history spanning over 40 years, has been reborn as a modern residence with high-performance features through a high-insulation renovation.
The most distinctive feature of this project is the transformation of the previously partitioned first floor into a bright and open living, dining, and kitchen area.
By creating large openings on the south side that optimize solar heat gain, we were able to significantly improve earthquake resistance while utilizing the existing structure.
Furthermore, the connection with the newly created garden creates a space that feels incomparably more expansive than before.

■ Highlights

Collaboration of materials: The abundant use of wood adds warmth and sophisticated design to the home.
Harmony of old and new: While preserving the charming atmosphere of the entrance and Japanese-style room, the previously poorly lit living room, dining room, and kitchen (LDK) were completely renovated. The result is a comfortable contrast where old and new elements work together to create a synergistic effect.
Living with greenery: Responding to the client's request to "feel closer to nature," we planned a beautiful landscape that blends seamlessly into the surrounding neighborhood, bringing color to everyday life.

Of course, there are absolutely no compromises in terms of performance.
Equipped with an advanced "attic air conditioner," the highly insulated interior is so refreshing that you'll forget the summer heat.
