●Himeji City T-san's Residence●

This is a full renovation of a 44-year-old, 51-square-meter, two-story wooden house.
The owner's grandfather built this house, and he said, "I want this precious and meaningful building to be passed down to my children and grandchildren."
With this strong desire in mind, we were asked to carry out a full renovation, and it is now finally complete.

This Japanese house made with mud walls has been transformed into a highly insulated and airtight home with a UA value of 0.44 through reinforcement of insulation.
In addition, earthquake resistance has been reinforced, the building has a structural rating of 1.5 or higher, and Matsuo-style heating and cooling systems are used throughout the building.

The first priority was to prioritize passive design, and the plan was made while preserving as much of the southern opening as possible.
It is a bright and open living/dining/kitchen space.
