It was featured on pages 5-104 of the May issue of Architectural Knowledge.
I was distracted by the Shanghai feature and ended up buying the May issue of Architectural Knowledge, which was released during my trip (April 4).
I completely forgot to introduce it...

I wrote 4 pages for the April issue, but there wasn't even one photo of me, so only my acquaintances could see it.
I knew about it, but the May issue was "Housing Trends 5: High-quality, economical homes that strike a chord with homeowners"
The article was titled "This is a 4-page feature with photos." I'm very grateful to Architectural Knowledge.
Leaving aside my own content, this month's issue is titled Practical Lecture on Wood Structures.
I have also designed many traditional wooden houses with large spaces, open ceilings, large openings on the south side, and other structurally difficult houses.
We are doing this, but at the same time, all buildings have achieved seismic resistance grade 3 (the highest level).
To achieve this, we need to incorporate design ideas specific to each property in several places.
These are explained in detail in comic form based on actual properties.
There were many parts where I found myself saying out loud, "That's right!" as I was reading.
After reading this, I once again think that even a two-story wooden building can be constructed without calculating the allowable stress.
This means that it is impossible to be absolutely sure of something's safety while making calculations.
I think it will be an interesting read for practitioners as well as the general public.
I hope you will purchase and read it.
