Gas engine hybridization

November 17st
I have explained this several times in lectures and on Facebook.
At present, electric vehicles have lower CO2 emissions, especially for large electric power companies such as Tokyo Electric Power Company, Chubu Electric Power Company, Kansai Electric Power Company, and Kyushu Electric Power Company.
On the other hand, in areas where other electric power companies are operating, the latest Prius emits less CO2.
However, as solar power generation increases and electricity becomes cleaner across the country, it may become the case that electric cars are preferable everywhere in Japan.
At present, the most theoretically and practically feasible way to reduce CO2 emissions is to use a hybrid gas engine.
However, in reality, such a car does not exist, so I searched online and found a company that can modify it like that!!

I was really surprised to find out that there is a company that does this kind of modification, and while they can do it for a variety of cars, they even do it for the Prius...
This means that it will be possible to create truly energy-efficient cars.
However, no matter how much I look, there is no mention of the cost of remodeling.
In these cases, the going rate is usually extremely high.
So I did some more searching and found the following site:

According to this, the cost of the modification is about 60 yen.
The Japan LP Gas Association will be offering a subsidy of 25 yen.
The actual cost of the modification was 35 yen!!
In this person's case, he will be able to recoup his investment after 4 km.
It seems that most people would be able to recoup their investment if it lasts 4 km.
LP gas is also used as fuel for taxis, so unless you're in a very rural area, there are plenty of gas stations available. In fact, there are three gas stations within a 10-minute distance of my office. (You can search on the site.)
I think there is no reason not to do this for companies that have a lot of company cars that drive long distances!!
Wow, this is an amazing thing I discovered.
