I would like to examine this issue from a slightly different angle.
First, I would like you to name a company that you think is in the top five global manufacturers in terms of solar cell module shipments as of 2016...
Panasonic? Sharp? ... I think there are quite a few people who are thinking this.
But the reality is quite different.

Furthermore, in my personal opinion, I think the trends in solar panels are similar to those in LCD panels. Mass production dramatically reduces costs, and only those with large quantities can survive... In fact, Panasonic has completely withdrawn from plasma TVs, which they had been promoting so widely, and plasma TVs themselves have disappeared from the world.
Furthermore, the panels used by many domestic manufacturers are actually made in Korea or China, so products from domestic manufacturers do not necessarily mean made in Japan.
When you think about it this way, I don't think it's fair to say that ``it's safe just because it's a major domestic company.''
Of the top five companies in the world, the other four companies besides JA Solar are actively entering the residential market. Moreover, the unit price is very low... I think it is necessary to judge based on the latest data and objectivity, without being bound by conventional wisdom.
