After reading "Work Rules", I like Google even more!!
I've been carrying this in my bag for the past month and there are other books I need to read.
I was constantly being skipped over, so it took me a while to finish reading it.
How Google's SVP of People Operations runs the company
This is a groundbreaking book written in detail. It seems to be selling quite well, but
I don't think this is a book just for business executives or human resources people.
If you belong to a group of two or more people, including your family,
I think this is a must-read for anyone who wants to manage such a group effectively and in a progressive way.
As usual, I tried to summarize it succinctly, but when I started writing, I realized that it was actually a wonderful article.
I'm not going to summarize it because I realize it would look extremely shabby.
However, here's what I felt after reading this book:
・If I were to get a job at a company, I would definitely want to work at Google!
・I can understand why talented people want to work at Google
-Good people attract good people
・The amazing synergy between talented people
・The amazing thing about being able to fully utilize the talents of talented people
・I care about my employees so much that it makes me cry.
・If something seems good, we will do a small experiment and then improve it immediately.
-Most decisions are based on data rather than on perception.
・If Apple was a dictatorship in the best sense of the word led by the genius Steve Jobs,
I think Google is a company where each of its geniuses, second only to Jobs, can perform to their full potential.
That's why, as I always write, I think it's Google, not Apple, that will grow in the future.
- Overall, the company is run in an extremely rational manner, based on a great deal of love.
・I think that surviving companies around the world will converge in this direction, although it is unclear when.
That's how it felt. Please read it!
