The main event! Fensterbau
Yesterday, I finally went to the main event, Fensterbau.
First, a photo taken immediately after entering the venue

It is as huge as Tokyo Big Sight. There are about 12 spaces like this one.
I've been to the Tokyo Big Sight many times, and I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that it's about five times larger than the other attractions.
thought.
If there is one thing different about Tokyo Big Sight, it's the racial diversity.
Many people come from Europe, of course, but also from the Middle East and Asia.
What puzzled me this time was that even though I was going for two consecutive days, my accommodation was 100km away from the venue.
why?
Apparently, when there are big events like this in Germany, nearby hotels are priced at about three times their normal price.
Apparently it's not uncommon for a hotel to cost as much as 100,000 yen per night. And even then, it seems like it's still impossible to get a reservation...
Moreover, since Germany has autobahns, people don't seem to think that 100km is far at all.
It seems that price hikes like this are common outside of Japan.
The venue is literally filled with windows, windows, and more windows. Since 2012, the U-value (coefficient of thermal transmission) has been regulated.
Since it is expected that the value will be 1.0 or 0.9, each company is rushing to find products that meet this.
They were lined up.

If you see a sash like this in Japan, you might think, "What is this?!" However, there are nearly 1,000
It seems that they were exhibiting, and most of them were displaying samples like this.
I think there were over 1,000 cut samples of this level.
However, there were many other sights that you can't see at Japanese events.
At each booth, people can enjoy food, drinks, and snacks while doing business.

Of course there's chocolate and cookies, but there's also prosciutto, salad, beer and wine...it looks like a lot of fun.
And there were many truly astounding performances made to make each company stand out.
The designs are beautiful, of course, but I'd like to introduce some of the designs that particularly surprised me.

This person is actually a video projected from behind onto a piece of glass about 1cm thick with a human outline.
That alone was a bit surprising, but what surprised me even more was that when I moved, his eyes followed me!
How on earth does this work?
But this was what surprised me the most!

A woman with a great figure, probably a professional model, wearing only underwear
The whole body was painted. I saw it while it was being painted, but when I asked other people,
Apparently he was walking around afterwards...
This is truly a production that would be unthinkable in Japan.
However, thanks to that, I was able to gain product knowledge that I would never have been able to get in Japan.
This time, I am here with people from a major Japanese sash manufacturer.
Attitudes are definitely changing.
I have high hopes that Japan's sash industry will change in the future!
