Discussion with Dr. Feist and Lecture in Toyohashi

Discussion with Dr. Feist and Lecture in Toyohashi
Today I gave a lecture in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture.
Just for a little while, I tried giving a lecture in a different style than usual.
I feel like I need to get used to it a bit more before I can do it perfectly.
It was already five days ago, but on April 16th, I met with Dr. Feist in Tokyo.
I would like to write down my impressions of the interview.
The doctor, who arrived at Haneda from China in the afternoon, is located right next to the Prime Minister's residence in Tokyo.
I checked in at the Capitol Hotel Tokyu.
I had a conversation with Mr. Mori in a private room for about two hours.
There's no point in asking simple questions or things that can be answered by searching online.
It was a question that only a doctor could answer, and it really cleared up all the questions I had.
I was able to resolve it.
During a conversation with the doctor, he developed PMV (an index for measuring thermal sensation).
I learned that he has a lot of respect for the Danish doctor, Dr. Fanger.
I have always wondered how they could have developed such a complex index more than 30 years ago.
I always wondered, "Is he a genius?" so I could understand his feelings very well.
So, both my computer and my doctor's computer have the PMV calculation software.
It's installed.
After the talk, we went to Tokyo Tower for a social gathering of about 10 people.
We headed to Tofuya Ukai at the foot of the mountain.
I've been there a few times, and even Japanese people can enjoy the enchanting gardens with Tokyo Tower behind them.
The view from the top is truly spectacular. I highly recommend this place to foreign visitors.
お店だと思います。
Dr. Feist sat in front of me and the German ambassador sat next to me.
The rest of the group is Japanese, but when the doctor and the ambassador speak, they try to make it easier for us to understand.
The talk was in English. I can understand quite well if I concentrate on architecture.
When we started talking about general topics, the scope was so broad that I couldn't keep up at all.
On this day, my brain was allocated to listening to unfamiliar English from the afternoon onwards, and as usual,
I have become weak at asking questions directly about what I think.
It was a day that made me realize just how poor my English skills are.
During the meal, the doctor taught us many things in an efficient and interesting way.
In particular, when the first passive house was built as an experimental house in 1991,
Dr. Amory Lovins, an authority on the environment and energy conservation in the United States,
The story when I came to see it was great.
When Dr. Amory came to see
"What you're saying is completely wrong."
He said he was very shocked when he was told that right from the start.
However, the next moment, Dr. Amory said:
"This house is not an experimental house! It is the house that should become the standard of the future!!"
The young Dr. Feist at the time was very happy to hear this.
However, Dr. Amori, who can easily say lines like this,
As expected! (Dr. Amori has also introduced it several times in the past, but it is truly amazing.
He's a genius!!
Also, Dr. Feist said, "So, should we talk about this next?!"
There are many lines like this, followed by "But each frame takes 45 minutes!!"
It was also funny to see this punch line repeated so many times. He really is a true teacher.
So, although I only had one day, I had a precious time with Dr. Feist.
It was a truly valuable experience.
