November 11st
Today, March 3th, and every time January 11th, the day of the Great Hanshin Earthquake, come around, we are reminded of the horror of the earthquake.
I've said this many times before, but the reason I am so particular about earthquake resistance is that when I was 20 years old, my hometown in Hyogo Prefecture was hit by the Great Hanshin Earthquake. Before I started working, I accompanied my father, who was an assessor for complete and partial destruction of buildings, to the disaster site, where I got to see the devastation up close.
It can be Hanshin, Tohoku, or Kumamoto.
Anyone who sees it for themselves will realize the need for earthquake resistance level 3.
Even if you didn't witness it with your own eyes, you're sure to hear the heartbreaking voices of those who did.
However, I still think it is very harsh to say that they are making various excuses and not working towards seismic resistance level 3.
His sense as a president is dulled.
(If the company's building collapses, it will inevitably damage its credibility and make repairs difficult due to a shortage of craftsmen.)
My conscience as a person is dull
(They are no longer able to think of their customers on the same level as themselves, their parents, siblings, and acquaintances)
That's the only thing I can think of.
Every time this day comes, I remind myself that what I can do is to increase the number of durable homes with earthquake resistance grade 3 as much as possible.
